Tomorrow Never Comes!

So what is "Tomorrow"!

Tomorrow represents our desires/joys of Tomorrow.

We try to satiate ourselves with the Joy of tomorrow but Tomorrow never comes, because its 'Tomorrow'!
We thirst for tomorrow and lose the Joy we already have in Christ TODAY!

Most of the times the enemy pushes us to keep dreaming about the future and lose track of the things we should be doing NOW!

For many people its such a temptation to day-dream and hence they lose track of reality now!

Tomorrow when i get a higher income, I'll be Satisfied!
Tomorrow when i get married and get a loving spouse, ill be glad!
Tomorrow when my company gives me position in a foriegn land, ill be glad!
Tomorrow when i get my own big house, ill be satisfied.
Tomorrow when i get my own big car, ill be satisfied.

So basically what you are affirming again and again is that Today I am NoT Glad!
Today I am NoT Satisfied!
Today I am NoT Happy!
Today I am NoT having Enough!

But rather the Truth that we need to believe and allow the Holy Spirit to teach to us is that God is more than enough for us!
We dont wait for the Joy Tomorrow, we seize our Joy in Christ Today!

We are content with God today, we trust in His plans for your life for the future!

He is above all things, he created everything, visible and the invisible things, then why should cling to things when i can establish myself upon God's promises for my life.

There are lots of new-age teachings which may try to ascertain the same thing but its in some sort of fooling yourself by keep saying to yourself positive things, etc.
Trust Only in God and not in your self and He will never disappoint you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

We sin/ we live our lives in our own ways helplessly running after things believing they will complete us, because we are not convinced in our hearts of the lie that life is without Christ as the only desire, the only thing that we ever need!

We constantly look forward for tomorrow, we desire and long for tomorrow, tomorrow carries our dreams and aspirations the way we want our life to be, not the way God wants.

A Christian walk is about a journey from trying to please self to trying to please God.

A Journey from trying to run after things/people to make them complete us to going before God and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us toward truth of God and complete us.

A Journey from a state of mind where things of this world are Sufficient for us to a point where God alone satisfies us.

When we are stuck in our mortal lives always looking for the joy of tomorrow
The desire to seek completeness in tomorrow takes the joy we have today.

Lets see what Jesus Christ our Lord had to say about 'Tomorrow'

Matthew 6:25-34
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear.

Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?
Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing,
yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.
And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you.
Why do you have so little faith?

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’
These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Amazing isnt it!
Jesus says I am the one who created you, that you might find your Joy in Him, that He will be more than enough for you, that you will put your trust in Him for Tomorrow.
